Like other types of blood cells, RBCs or red blood cells are also formed in the bone marrow. Every day, almost 1011 total blood cells are formed in an adult human and all of them arise from a single type of cell which is known as hematopoietic stem cell. For understanding the process of formation of RBCs view the uploaded picture.
