Cell wall of the plants is made up of cellulose which has the chemical formula C6H7O2(OH)3. Cellulose is a natural polymer and it is the major component of the cell wall. By composition it is a polysaccharide that consists of a linear chain of several hundred to over ten thousand β(1→4) linked D-glucose.
