Nitrogen is important for the growth and fruiting of plants because it is important part of protein and protoplasm. It is required in moderate quantities by the plants because its deficiency can stop plant growth and turn yellow color of leaves. Its higher quantities can damage the fruits.
Nitrogen is also essential part of many, genetic , metabolic and structural compounds in plant cells. It is present in amines, amino acids, nucleoprotein, and many organic compounds in plants.
