The most common definition of art is that it is a body of human creations that represent real things.  Art is based solely on imagination and is therefore subjective.  It is intended to convey emotion and opinion.  Science on the other hand is objective and deals directly with the real world.  It uses measurement and data in order to convey knowledge and truth.

Arts or aesthetics are subjects that deal with the world and tend to explain it in the form of abstracts or intangibles. Arts mostly have to do with our association with objects and are unique for each individual. There may be intrinsic universal values for humans commonly discussed as archetypes. However, sciences or more accurately natural sciences deal with the world in a more materialistic fashion and is more a process of inferring and coming to conclusions and having an analytical mindset about the world than simply doing with subjective associations. Sciences rely on observed data with a very objective mindset and it's primary focus is on consensus whereas arts deal with humanities, society, culture and religion.
