I'm not sure there are any unwritten rules left. Perhaps Bill the Bard put it best, "To thine own self be true and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man."

When it comes to people, trust your dog's instinct.

You might have something with this comment. My notoriously friendly Golden once growled at meeting a man that I was being introduced to. My dog growled so much that I had to remove him from the area while I apologized to the man. It later came to light that my dog sensed something which I didn't sense. This man was not a good person.

-Life will test you, you say you wanna do this, so many things will happen to stop you, to break you, to makes you lose your motivation, if you fail, you show you didn't deserved it. You weren't strong enough for such battle & you weren't prepared for success. But if you stand & fight it & move forward & make things happen by any cost. You show you deserve it & you earn what you wanted as a goal, purpose ect . ..

-When you be negative, negative things will happen to you, when you positive, positive things will happen, our thoughts run our lives.

-The most people we meet in life are reflection of who we are & how we think.

-Life has a combination, we are a director of our lives & our thoughts impresses it amazingly, but beside all these, there's a path as we can call it a destiny, that destiny creates a rule called "Must-Unmust" sometimes you wanna do something, but it shouldn't happen. Sometimes you don't wanna do something, but it must happen. And both would be out of our control when the time comes.whoever that balance these factors together nicely would be the most successful one about their own lives.

Pay your RENT first, so you'll always have a place to stay.

Get your apartment in your name, no one can ask you to leave.

Get a debit card only, safer than cash and when you have no money you can't write a check. Plus if someone ask you for a loan tell them you only have a debit card.
