When I pour hydrogen peroxide on a wound and it fizzes, what is actually happening?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!! A REAL question amongst all that spam!!!! I FOUND YOU!!!!!! LOL!

I have a theory I tell my kids...... The bubbles are killing the germs. When it stops bubbling, the germs are dead. LOL! :0)

Now scientifically...... I am not sure. Great question though. :0)
