After five years of work with Diabetes, he developed simulated model of insulin-resistant cells. These cells could be used to test anti-diabetic formulations. Using his model Dr Dey later identified a possible new drug target which was basically a protein. His research findings have accelerated the development of anti-diabetic drugs around the world.
