Relief is the topography of an area, how flat the surface is versus how hilly or mountainous it is.
The climate depends on position on the globe, the existence of microclimates caused by the area's relief, jet stream, ground height, and oceanic influences among other things.
Vegetation grows in accordance with the climate. In a flat, sunny valley with a year-round mild climate, or someplace where the weather is tempered by the influence of the ocean, palm trees may grow. But further up, into the mountains, only spruce trees would grow, and then nothing as you went even further up.
