In a human body all systems are interrelated with each other. Transportation of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body is the function of the circulatory system. When we inhale oxygen then blood absorbs oxygen from the lungs through the small blood capillaries on the lungs. It is known as oxygenated blood and it is supplied to all cells of the body. Once the oxygen is transmitted to the cells then the blood collects carbon dioxide from the cells and this is known as deoxygenated blood and it is again carried to the lungs. In this way the oxygen and carbon dioxide is transported in the human beings.
