When we burn a coal heat energy is produced. This heat energy is used to boil the water and the steam produced is used at power stations for the production of electricity. This steam is used to move turbines. When these turbines are moved, the magnetic flux is changed and the electric current is produced. In this way heat energy is converted into electrical energy. Moreover, this phenomena is called electromagnetic induction.
