How Does A Solid Turn Into A Gas?
Take a rock for example, the rock would get caught in a volcano and get OVER heated, then, it turns into magma (lava), last, it could turn into smoke that comes out of the volcano if it don't dry first.
Certain solids will pass directly into the gas phase without passing through a liquid phase - this is called 'sublimation'. An example is dry ice (Solid carbon dioxide).
