In a single processor system only one process can run at a time other processes must wait until the cpu becomes free it means that no more than a process can run in a single processor system.

A computer system that have only one processor or a processor without a dual technology is called a single processor system. Its not only physically single but also technically a single processor.

A single processor is one which the system has single CPU.In a single processor system there will never be more than one running process.If there are more processes,the rest will have to wait until the CPU is free.
