Mixed equal parts today, white vinegar and %100 acetone nail polish remover. I also had rit dye which consists of a coloring and salt.
From my reading I found that vinegar (and acid) neutralizes the acetone (a natural solvent). The product is basically water with a form of salt.
My dye solution behaved very similar to my water only solution and very differently than my acetone only solution.
