Hurricane Katrina is considered as one of the most deadliest hurricanes in the history of this world. It started on August 23, 2005 and finally ended on August 30, 2005. Several parts of the United States were hit by this hurricane such as Bahamas, South Florida, Cuba, Louisiana, New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Panhandle etc.

This hurricane shook the country in terms of its devastating effects on the economy, environment, human lives etc. It cost around 89.6 billion dollars in terms of repair and reconstruction in the affected areas. It badly damaged the infrastructure in the area. It also caused beach erosion so much so that it completely devastated coastal areas.

The total number of people who died in this hurricane was 1836. Apart from these, some 705 people are still missing.

That's a hard question to answer because it's not specific. Do you want to know how many houses were destroyed? Or how many people died? It's all in the wording.
