Other interesting facts about hydrogen are that it is the most abundant element in the whole universe and has the lowest density of any other liquid when it is in liquid form and when it is solid - it has the lowest density of any crystalline solid. It is thought to have been produced by the Big Bang along with helium and lithium, and produces most of the energy on the planet as the sun's nuclear fires convert hydrogen to helium, which releases a large amount of energy in the process.
