Electricity is wasted by leaving items on standby, not pulling them out of the sockets. Open windows to cool rooms instead of putting on air conditions. Put on an extra layer of clothes instead of turning up the heating. Wash on lower temperature cycles. Lag water cylinders. Draw curtains and blinds to keep heat out. Use the switch on the tv instead of the remote control. Only put sufficient water to heat that you will use. Turn off unused lights. Check electricity power usage before buying products.
