Deductive Method and Inductive Method are two kinds of research. In Deductive method of Research, the researcher has to study a phenomenon by taking some assumptions. Then he had to deduce conclusions from these assumptions. Deduction is the process of reasoning from the general to particular or from the universe to individual/particular, from given premises to necessary conclusions.  It has an abstract approach to the study of science.  Is is based on logical reasoning.

Inductive Method is the most oftenly used method of the scientific research.  Induction is a process of reasoning from particular cases to whole group of cases, from specific instance to general rules.  It may be described as practical approach to research problems.  In this method, general principles are laid down after examining a large number of specific instances or facts.
