If you bounce a ball on a hard surface, it bounces better than when you bounce it on a softer surface. That is because the softer surface absorbs more energy from the ball. The less energy it has, the lower the ball will bounce. Also, if you bounce it on a hot surface rather than a cold surface, it will also bounce higher.

Because if a place is flat it will affect on how high it bounces if it bounces higher in a hole in a flat surface or in a surface with a hump
