Dear brother,

An inch is a very small unit to measure the distance between Sun and the Earth! Eventhough, We can calculate it just for fun!

Time taken for a light wave to reach Earth from Sun (t) = 8 minutes =8*60 seconds=480 seconds

Velocity of light in vacuum (c) = 3*10

Therefore,

The distance between Earth and the Sun= t*c

= 480*3*10

= 1440*10

We know that , 1 inch= 2.54*10

Therefore

The distance between The Earth and The Sun=1440*10

Wonderful, Isn't it?

= 480*3*10

^{8 }meters= 1440*10

^{8}metersWe know that , 1 inch= 2.54*10

^{-2 }metersTherefore

The distance between The Earth and The Sun=1440*10

^{8}/2.54*10^{-2}=5669291338583 inches!!Wonderful, Isn't it?
