Actually its the opposite the Moon is getting further away, at the rate of about 3.8 centimeters per year.

If the moon was getting closer to the earth do you think the powers that be would allow the general public to know? It would cause mass hysteria. (trust nobody!)

In all my years of being outdoors, I have every night noted the moon, its color, its position, from a child until now.  Last night the moon was extremely larger and closer to earth than usual.  The orange crescent stood the length of the gigantic mountain about 20 miles in the distance, including the tower mounted on top.  It was incredibly eerie.  My best opinion is to observe and make your own conclusions because chances are that our government would never let us know...So like the mayans, get out and absorb nature in while we still have her.

The Moon is not actually getting closer to the Earth. In fact each year it moves farther away from Earth. Appollo's Corner Tube Reflectors placed on the Moon's surface around 1970s measured the increase in the Moon's distance at a very slow rate of 3.8 centimeters per year. By the time the orbit will have been stabilized in about 15 million years the Sun would turn into a red giant and will have turned Earth and the Moon to cinders.

No its not getting closer, the moon has an orbital path that's its been on since it was created, if it was ever getting closer it would've hit by now lol

In fact it most likely did hit during the formation of our solar system. Resulting in the synchronized revolution. By suggesting that it's been on the same orbital path since it was formed I assume you mean relatively the same for the time period that is relevant to humans. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm being picky but your answer seemed to suggest that the universe was unchanging.

I think so because when you look outside when you are driving the moon is get closer and one day the moon and sun will hit and the sun will bust and the world will in.But it is years for now.

Trustno1 is right! We are going to collide in 2010! No one talks about it because human kind will not handle it well.
