While your children are at school they will often be given a number of different projects to carry out while they are at home, especially during their first five years of school. Quite often these tasks are relatively easy to carry out but sometimes they require a large amount of effort and some research. Making a model of the planet Neptune or any other planet for that matter is undoubtedly one of the more difficult tasks. Fortunately, the Internet is always on hand to offer assistance and advice on how to carry out the task quickly and effectively. The first thing that you will need to do is locate a sphere of the size that you wish to make the model and ensure that the surface is one that will hold paint. Then select a blue paint that you will proceed to cover the entire surface of the sphere with. Neptune’s atmosphere is filled with methane and thus the clouds are predominantly blue. Next you will need to take some white paint and draw on some long and thin clouds; these are mostly located around the equator of the planet. Next add in some darker colored clouds in between the equator and the poles of the planet. You will then need to use the dark paint to draw on the Great Dark Spot. This should be located just to the south of the equator and should be twice as long as it is wide. The length should be approximately a fifth of the length of the sphere. Finally, add in some small white clouds around the Great Dark Spot and more of a round shape than the other clouds.
