There are a few experiments you can carry out in the lab. To separate oxygen you can use white phosphorous, for water vapour you can use a cold trap and to separate nitrogen you need a complex setup that includes removing carbon dioxide first through potassium hydroxide solution, removing water vapour through sulphuric acid solution and finally removing oxygen by using red hot copper metal which will form an oxide with oxygen. This will leave nitrogen collected in the final container.
