First, there were a quarter million fatalities from the initial devastation by the quake, second millions of people have been displaced through the destruction of their homes, 3rd the disruption from the quake has left millions of people dependent upon aid workers for food and water. 4th anytime a poor country suffers so many death's in a local area like has occurred in Port Au Prince are diseases that transmitted from rotting corpses to the survivors via insects, flies, and misquitos, so they have to get them buried as quickly as possible. 5th, the disruptions will continue in the lives of these Port Au Prince Haitian's for 5 to 10 years while they recover and rebuild their under-built, and broken country.
There social was effected because Haiti is an overpopulated country with a virtually nonexistent government. So, where buildings fell, they fell on people. Also most of the aid that is being sent to Haiti mainly money is being hoarded by the wealthy. This is leading to looting and killing for necessities. But every time supplies are sent they go to the same people. Which is why so many Haitians are coming to America.
Haiti earthquake seized more than 200,000 people and cost billions of dollars. Most of people lost their houses and almost everything. It will take a very long time to recover for Haiti.
Families were split up and many people have been left homeless. Chickens have all been killed for food and people want to see squirrels with the heads of chickens to eat, a bit like in Ali-g. CHICKEN DIPPERS!
