Well...ribosomes are produced in the nucleolus, which is located in the nucleus of a cell. They are, basically, proteins inside of the cytoplasm or they can also be located on the rough ER. The smooth ER, or the ER without ribosomes attached to it, is actually really cool. It detoxifies harmful substances within the cell. The ER in general is a network of "veiny" material. (I'm sorry I can't explain it any other way.) The Golgi Apparatus looks like stacked peta breads. It basically stores the ribosomes and releases them when necessary. Exocytosis is the excretion of material outside the cell. I hope this answers your question!!
