The same idea applies to feet and square feet, but you don't have to convert anything when you get square feet. Take the two dimensions measured in feet, multiply them together and you get square feet.

What is the square footage for a part of a kitchen 144" by 24", a bar area 36" by 36", and two areas on either side of a stove that measures 24" by 24" and 24" by 24". The back splash encompasses an area of 144" by 24" and four backslplash areas each 24" long (what is the linear feet?).
Multiply the number of square feet by 144
How do I convert a known squre inches to a round diameter dimension
Every 12 inches is a foot so you would divide the inches by 12 to see how many feet it is . If you have a room thats 10feet long(120 inches) and 10 feet wide(120 inches) that is 20sq feet... So basically if you take how many feet wide and multiply it by how many feet long then you get the square feet. hope you understand this...
If you think about the fact that a square foot is one foot long and one foot wide, it is not to hard to recognize that it is 12 inches long and 12 inches wide. So, there 12 inches time 12 inches or 144 square inches in each square foot. So, to convert square feet to square inches all you have to do is multiply the number of square feet by 144 square inches per square foot.
