Secondary data is the collecting and processing of data gathered by others for research purpose. The sources for just data includes Journal Articles, data bases, census data, organizational records, books, internet, surveys, statistical abstracts, the media, case studies and other archival records.

There are various sources of secondary data including; (Qualitative resources) biographies, memoirs, newspapers and (Quantitative sources) published statistics like census, survey, data achieves and market research. The four most reliable sources of secondary data are as follows:
