There are four types of tissues which include Epithelial, Muscle, Connective, and Nervous tissues. Epithelial tissue protect surfaces like skin, secrete material like glands and absorb material like intestine. Nerve tissue provides communication between gland cells and nerve cells. Third type of tissues are muscle tissues and they include skeletal muscles, cardiac muscles and smooth muscles. These muscles allow body movements as they are attached with the bones. Fourth types of tissues are connective tissues. And they hold the body parts together by connecting body parts.
