Organisms reproduce because they have inherited genes from their ancestors that produce the organs and behaviors necessary for reproduction.

The process by which organisms reproduce is known as reproduction. There are two main methods by which organisms can reproduce which include sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction. The organisms which reproduce by asexual reproduction do not involve another organism. Bacteria and most of the microorganisms show this type of reproduction. Bacteria cell divides and form more cells which are developed in new bacterias. Most of the plants also reproduce asexually. The organisms which reproduce sexually involve two partners. This reproduction is common in complex animals and human beings.
