Dr. Panlasigui is Director for Research and Dean of the College of Engineering at FEATI University in Santa Cruz, Mailila in the Philippines.
Dr. Panlasigui has a Bachelor's, master's degree and a ph.D in Chemical Engineering and is a licensed chemical engineer.
A chemical engineer is involved in the research and designing of processes and machinery which are used to make general products into useful items such as food, fuel and plastics.
Maths and science skills are essential in this field, as they are used daily to recognise problems and develop solutions. Good management skills are also an essential part of the job and a they manage budgets, people and projects.
Dr. Panlasigui is married to Dr. Leonora Panlasigui who is the Dean of the School of Nutrition at the Philippines Women’s University. They are both members of the Christian Family Movement of the Philippines and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
