Solid, Liquid and gas are the three phases of matter. Therefore, the word in science which is used to specify all of these terms is known as MATTER. Matter is any substance and it can be found in any phase. So, on the basis of the arrangement of the atoms and their movement, MATTER can be categorized into solid, liquid and gas.
