What happens in the upper atmosphere affects many things on earth. The condition of the upper atmosphere has a direct bearing on the weather at lower levels. The jetstream at high levels carries air and moisture around the world. The upper atmosphere also acts as a protective cover for all life on earth. The Ozone layer keeps dangerous UV radiation from reaching the earth. The amount of pollutants in the upper atmosphere are significant to global warming. Is that a start?
