What pest are you trying to control?   There is a mixture of 1 T of Tabasco to 1 gal of water.   Mix, but use from a spray bottle.

Besides cooking I am into ag, plants, etc.   So everything has to do with what you want to control and why using chilies?

I did it once, and with glee.   The spray bottle still sits under my kitchen sink because I know acid and other complications associated with peppers.   One of the best critter controls is chili pepper flakes around treasured plants where there is disturbance.   Stuff sticks to paws, licking is nasty, memory provides none recurrence.   Downside is long term effect from leaching into soil through watering.   Some plants will thrive, others will suffer "burn out".

It turned the aphids into dead pests, along with other pests.   Not long term and my inner grower just wasn't willing to spray my plants with something that brings tears to my eyes and clears my sinus issues.

So, I am curious.   What pest are you trying to destroy.   Every pest I would use this mixture on recommends insecticidal soup.   You can create your own recipe for "soap".   Non-chemical pest control takes more time and energy than chemicals.   Depends on on severe your pest problem is and, again, just what is the pest you need to control?   You can add very small amount of chili to "soap", to enhance the results, depending on the pest.

With chilies in horticultural, as in cooking, less is more.   It is the oils and other chemical interactions that will produce results without damage to plants.

Long story, try an insecticidal soap with a touch of spice.   As   a cook, keep in mind how far a little heat goes to produce great results.   And patience helps.   This is a "keep the heat low" message.
