1)  The frist stage is the unravelling of the two orginal strand of DNA, the process is started by an enzyme which is called DNA helicase.

2) After the two strands have un-winded, another enzymes called DNA polymerase attaches nucleotides to each new single strand ( according to the base pairing rule).

3)Then DNA ligase ( another enzyme) creates the phosphates bonds between the two strands ( the nucleotide bases) to make them stick together and become a new strand which is identical to their parent strand.
