Because you need to know if your results are reliable, in each repetition you might get different results and that might change your whole experiment you need to do at least 3 trials for any experiment.That's how you analyze data, compare results, come up with a pattern, and a conclusion. Its pretty vital.

Just because you carried out an experiment once and achieved a particular result may not prove that the same result will happen every time therefore experiments are repeated many times to rule out any errors in the first result. If the experiment generates the same results every time it can be safe to assume that you know what will happen
