The type of organisms that use photosynthesis to produce glucose are called as photoautotrophs. They use energy from sunlight and water and minerals from the soil and produce glucose that is a source of energy. All green plants such as bryophytes and tracheophytes are photoautotrophs. Moreover algae also get energy through photosynthesis.
