It possesses a long coast on the Atlantic Ocean which extends past the Strait of Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean Sea. Morocco shares a border with Algeria and a comparatively narrow water border with Spain, otherwise being surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
