Momentum is the quantity of motion in a moving body. Momentum is equal to the product of mass of the body and velocity of the body. The formula to measure momentum is;

Momentum = Mass * Velocity

Momentum of a moving object is represented by 'p'. The Standard international unit for momentum is kilogram meter per second. The angular momentum of a rotating body is equal to the cross product of position vector of body with respect to origin and linear momentum. It is represented by 'L'.

L = r x p

L = r x mv

Its unit is newton meter second or kilogram meter square per second.
