Use fiberglass, styrofoam, and bubble wrap. Wrap it all together and the ice cube should last a week!

Styrofoam or liquid nitrogen can keep ice from melting.

You should use salt, it causes the temperature drop that slows the melting rate and increases the freezing rate.  Saw dust is also helpful because it doesn't give off heat rays. You should layer the box with newspaper and put aluminum foil on the outside because reflective materials prevent radiation.

4 layers of Tin foil.
4 layers of Plastic Wrap.
1 cardboard box.
And this will be interesting, make a wall of rice krispy squares to use as insulation.

The Tin foil will trap some heat. The plastic seals the tin foil.

The cardboard box holds the rice krispy squares up.

You have to take a plastic egg container cut out one little egg hole per ice cube than put the ice cube in it then you wrap it in tinfoil. You put it in a soup can and put foam  peanuts around it and that is how you keep an ice cube cold for about 2 hours!!!
