There is a really simple way of finding this out, and for your future reference, you should remember that to get cubic feet you need to multiply the length in feet by the width in feet, and then multiply this equation by the height in feet. The result provides you with the cubic feet. So for one yard of mulch, you will have 27 cubic feet of mulch.

If you do not want to do it this way, then you will be able to make use of the resource online that help you make these calculations without a pen and paper. You just need to search on Google for a conversion calculator, and there will be numerous websites available that help you make these calculations. They will feature an online conversion table or calculator that just requires you to enter a little information about the mulch.

Mulch is any material that is placed over the soil in the garden, which is designed and used to retain moisture in the soil and deter weeds, as well as keeping the soil from eroding with the wind. Knowing how much you need to use on your garden is really important, as using too much can restrict the growth of your flowers and even reduce the amount of good that the nutrients in the soil can do. Using too little can also allow weeds to continue to grow, and not reduce the amount of erosion that can occur over time.

So just get online and find a calculator or use the simple calculation that I’ve provided, and you shouldn’t have a problem calculating how much mulch you need!

Since one cubic yards equals 27 cubic feet, you'd need 13.5 bags of 2 cubic feet each. So 14 bags should do it.

It amazes me how many people in this world are perfectly happy to give an opinion about a fact.  It could not be otherwise here since there is an actual answer but we have at least 5 totally different answers to the same question.  This is STUPID.  If you don't know the answer don't try, it's not helpful

Cubic feet is the unit of volume. Yard is the unit of length. They both can't be compared. However, feet and yard can be compared.

1 yard = 3 feet
