This will not happen for 5 billion years, but when it does happen the sun will run out of Hydrogen.
It will no longer give off light. It will then expand, forming a massive star. Then it will go to red super giant, followed by supernova, then ending with a black hole. Mercury would be then sucked in to the gravity.
And, depending on how powerful the black hole is, the rest of the planets will follow.
The sun will not turn into a lack hole, however the sun will expand and swallow the earth in about 7.6 billion years.
Which won't matter since life of any form is estimated to to die out in a billion years. Our only hope is that they can figure out a way to get people to Titan (one of Saturn's moons) since it has the same atmosphere that earth had when it was young, and they have found the same elements there needed to create life, which is good for us if we can figure out how to keep life alive long enough to get there and for Titan to develop so that we can live there.
Nope! If the sun becomes a black hole (impossible) it's gravity would be the same as today and we would NOT be sucked in. You need to get real close to get pulled in!
Our sun wont turn into a black hole for 50 billion years, and when the sun depleats its helium supply it will shirnk and then expand profusely and it with blow up and blow the earth's atmosphere and everything on earth to ashes, then it turns into a black hole and suck everything into it
First of all, our sun will not become a black hole, it is not large enough, it lacks the mass. Our sun will become a red giant and then a white dwarf.
Secondly, if our sun somehow "instantly changed" into a black hole, all the planets would maintain the exact same orbit since the gravity would be the same. The only difference woiuld be the lack of sunlight, which we would notice in about 8 minutes, then life on Earth would come to an end.
Black holes do not "suck in galaxys" you have to get very close to a black hole before the gravity becomes a problem.
The Sun will get bigger because helium has more mass than hydrogen or the Sun will fall because helium has more mass that hydrogen. (P.S.)THE SUN WILL NOT HAVE A BLACK HOLE UNTIL LIKE 7 BILLION YEARS!!!!! THINK PEOPLE!!! FYI: USER NAME GUEST, STOP THINKING EVERY BODY'S WRONG!!!
Are you all who answer this question ****'n stupid?!?! The sun WILL NOT become a black hole, it's ****'n small, tiny, little. Only red giants become black holes. ---good grief--- the sun will become a white dwarf. And even if the sun becomes a black hole (it will not), the planets WILL be suck in it. And here is the thing... Black holes DO SUCK GALAXIES.
If our sun became a black hole we would already be killed by the red giant and if a singilarity happens it would suck in the other planets but not the milky way
