2 Methylbutane is considered to be an organic alkane, which is also known as Iso-pentyane, ethyldimethylmethane and Isoamylhydride. It is a highly flammable compound that can be located in both a liquid and vapour type. The actual formula is (CH3)2CHCH2CH3.
It is also known as a branched-chain alkane made up of five carbon atoms. Isopentane on the other hand, is a dangerous flammable liquid that is flammable at both room temperature and in pressured environments.

The boiling point for this is normally a couple of degrees above room temperature and isopentane will tend to boil and evaporate when the weather is warm outside. Isopentane is used in conjunction with liquid nitrogen in order to reach a liquid bath temperature of -160 degrees C.

Alkanes are also known as paraffin’s or saturated hydrocarbons, which are chemical compounds that are made up of the carbon elements of carbon, which has the formula (C) and hydrogen, which has the formula (H).

Each carbon atom needs to have at least four bonds (either C-H or C-C bonds), and each hydrogen atom must be joined in harmony with a carbon atom (H-C bonds).

The other members of this formula is what is known as an Alkyl group, generally abbreviated with the symbol R, which is a functional group or side-chain that, like an alkane, is made up entirely of single-bonded carbon and hydrogen atoms, for example in groups of methyl or ethyl.

Alkanes tend not to be extremely reactive and have little biological activity. But these sorts of Alkanes can generally be viewed as a molecular tree, which can be hung on interesting biologically active or reactive portions called functional groups that belong to the very said molecular construction.

2-Methylbutane is an important chemical used in various industries. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic smell and has a melting point of -160C. It has the chemical formula  (CH3)2CHCH2CH3 . You can see its structural formula at the link below:
2-METHYLBUTANE
Unfortunately the same data for Ethylmethyl Propane is not available.
