It affects people in many ways. Like if there was a volcano that erupted and killed many people, or if there was a wind storm that knocked down people's homes, or there was extreme weather conditions making it impossible to live in that area. The environment is affecting you in all of those ways.
 

The environment can certainly impact a persons life. The society in which a person is living in can influence that persons life, decisions, ideas and overall perspective of themselves. The environment itself can obviously impact a person and how they live. A person who lives in Antarctica is not going to have the 'luxury' of living near a warm beach, or someone living in Hawaii has probably never seen snow before.
