Microwaves are wave lengths which are electromagnetic waves which are relatively short for radio waves. They are longer than the Terahertz. This term generally refers to "alternating current signals with frequencies between 300 MHz (3 x 108 Hz) and 300 GHz (3 x 1011 Hz)." The ultra-high frequency (UHF) (0.3-3 GHz), super high frequency (SHF) (3-30 GHz), and extremely high frequency (EHF) (30-300 GHz), this radiation from the earth's atmosphere is so high that it is opaque, till the atmosphere becomes transparent again. These signals fall under the umbrella of this range.

Radio wave is generally referred to as self propagating wave. It consists of electric and magnetic components. It was first predicted byJames Clerk Maxwell, in the year 1864, but was later found by Heinrich Hertz.

Radiowave is omnidirectional wheras microwaves are unidirectional
waves ranging in frequencies between 3khz & 1 Ghz is called RADIOWAVE
whereas frequencies between 1 and 300GHZ is called microwave
