The longest street in Wales is in Bangor. It is in the north of Wales and is one of the UK's smallest cities. It has a population of 13,725.It is home to the University of Wales, Bangor. Since it is a university city a majority of the inhabitants are students.

The city can be traced right back to the sixth century when the Bangor Cathedral was built by Deiniol a Celtic saint. The word Bangor literally means an enclosure in Welsh, which was probably similar to the church site. The cathedral today is a rather recent building that has been modified several times. The Bishopric of Bangor ranks among the oldest in the UK but the cathedral itself is neither the oldest nor the biggest. Bangor beautiful views of the sea and its own mountain. It is also home to the Penhryn Castle.
