How Well Does Different Kinds Of Wood Absorb Water?

Red wood trees absorb the most water because they are made with a liitle bit bigger cells than a regular tree. For Example: Oak, Pine, etc. Anyhow, the Oak tree is in 2nd place and the average shade tree is in 3rd. The reason the Pine tree does not absorb that much water is because the climate that they grow in doesnt hold much water so there cells shrink like if you don't eat lots of food for a long time your stomach will shrink.
