Best to use room temperature for house plants.  Plants absorb according to their needs, just like when we need to drink more in hot weather, plants are the same, unless they are desert plants who need very little water but lots of light and heat.  Tropical plants, like aloes and spider plants grow better in bright lite and hot temp.  So I feed mine more water in the summer.  My poinsetta drinks like mad in the summer when I put it out on my balconey, but sheds tons of leaves in the winter when I bring it it.  So for her, I just give a bit of water in the winter months.  Depends on the plant and its place of origin
