For me personally, it is enjoying what I do, getting along with my coworkers and being able to work together as a team. And of course, a nice paycheck every week is a plus.
Kind of like what Mountain Man said. I enjoyed working with my hands and working on cars and trucks. Got along good with my employees and always gave them perks. But I think the thing that motivated me the most was when someone came to pick up their vehicle and smiled and said Thank you ! That always motivated me to put out the best quality work I could. That smile and handshake was always the best.
Pride, self satisfaction, money, accomplishment, victory
What motivates me at work? .....7pm....the end of the day.
The satisfaction of a job well done.
I think most are motivated by needing to make a living ... Along with wanting to feel useful and having a sense of accomplishment.
Customers being happy and a fat paycheck
For me, it's feeling like I've made a difference in someone's life. I'm a Personal Trainer. Not only physically, but emotionally I make a difference in people's life. That fullfils me! :)
As you have seen by now, the biggest motivator is money here. Right or wrong, it is what it is and people need money to survive on, eat, pay bills, etc. But majority will actually admit that they hate what they are doing so the secret of a happy work and home life is to find something that you actually like doing and the rest will always follow. Also the more a person makes is a great short term motivator but doesn't last forever so the greatest motivator is perhaps self gratification of doing what one likes and the worth of doing it well once they find their niche in their work life, unless of course you were born rich or married into money then work doesn't matter
Money and caffeine
having coffee.
The importance of the motivation is the satisfaction of his/her work and the payment as well.
It depends on the character of people, so the main is to work hard in order to require the payment and for the health that we must work with pleasure no stress : Means happily working, being kind with colleagues, help with each other etc.
