There are various ways through which the microorganisms are destroyed. The most common way of destroying the microorganisms is by changing their survival conditions. Microorganisms do not survive in the extreme conditions, therefore, increasing temperature or lowering temperature as much as possible destroy the microorganisms. Pasteurization of milk is done because of this reason. Microorganisms can also be destroyed by reducing the moisture on surface because it inhibits there growth and reproduction. Dry milk is stored for a longer period of time because of this reason. Moreover, disinfectants can also be used for killing the microorganisms particularly over the non-living surfaces.
