The rainfall varies a lot in the various areas of UK. The highest level of rainfall occurs in the Scottish Highlands in the west where the rainfall can be a high as 5000 millimeters or 200 inches. In the other parts like East Anglia and the Thames Estuary, the average rainfall is around 500 millimeters or 20 inches. The mean rainfall between the years 1971-200 is 926.9millimeters while it was between 915 millimeters.
