Rainforests only survive in a narrow range of temperatures and rainfalls. The temperature in a rain forest rarely gets higher than 34 °C or drops below 20 °C; average humidity is between 77 and 88%; rainfall is often more than 100 inches a year. If these are changed then the unique makeup of the rainforest is disturbed and cannot survive.

A more pressing question is how do rainforests affect world climate? The constant regeneration of CO2 into O2 is a major factor in world climate, without it the world’s temperature would be several degrees higher than today.
